Die Stylistin eGG Junghyun

Für mich ist es immer wieder spannend junge Talente zu entdecken, wie die zauberhafte koreanische Stylistin eGG Junghyun. Und weil es mir extrem wichtig erscheint, eben solche Talente zu fördern, habe ich mich entschieden, eGG Junghyun in meinem Buch zu präsentieren. Deshalb hier auch nur ein kleines Interview.

For me it is always exciting to discover young talents, like the magical Korean stylist eGG Junghyun. And because it seems extremely important to me to promote such talents, I have decided to present eGG Junghyun in my book. So here’s just a little interview.

Meine Liebe. Du kommst aus Korea und lebst nun seit 5 Jahren in Berlin. Du bist Künstlerin und Stylistin.

My dearest. You are from Korea and have been living in Berlin for 5 years now. You are an artist and a stylist.

Ich bin Stylistin.

I am a stylist…

Das ist auch Kunst. Wie man sehen kann, bist Du eine ausserordentlich beeindruckende junge Dame. Ich habe mir Deine Show angesehen, die Du zusammen mit Freunden realisiert hast. Erzähl mir ein wenig davon.

Well, this is art as well. Everybody can see, you are a most impressing young lady. I watched your show, which you did with friends. So tell me about it.

Meine Freunde und ich publizieren das Magazin FIFTY PERCENT und das war auch das Thema unserer Show. Ich war für das Styling verantwortlich. Wir suchten die Outfits entsprechend der Themen aus, die wir vorstellen wollten. Die Show sollte eine Art Protest gegen vieles das in der Welt passiert sein, zum Beispiel Hunger, Umweltzerstörung, Gewalt – es war eine politische Show.

My friends and I publish the magazine FIFTY PERCENT and that was also the theme of our show. I was responsible for the styling. We selected the outfits according to the topics we wanted to introduce. The show was supposed to be a kind of protest against a lot of things happening in the world, such as hunger, environmental destruction, violence – it was a political show.

 

Sie war sehr bunt, sehr interessant, mir hat es sehr gefallen. Was planst Du als nächstes Projekt?

It was very colourful, very interesting, I really loved it. What are your plans for the next project?

Ich möchte ein Modemagazin machen. Damit möchte ich zeigen, dass Stil nichts mit Trends zu tun hat, dass man sich selbst finden muss, um seinen Stil zu finden, sich auszudrücken. Das ist meine Botschaft.

I want to make a fashion magazine. By this I want to show that style has nothing to do with trends, that one has to find oneself to find one’s style, to express oneself. That’s my message.
